“We few, we happy few, we band of Brothers”
“This is the most unique and powerful Catholic Program for young men I have ever encountered” Scott Bloch – Author of the Novel “Mount Wonder”
The Nature of our communications today is at such startlingly warp speed, and the messaging in the hyper superlative, so it makes it challenging to use the language in such a way to convey deeper sublime meaning that moves the soul. We have been numbed and desensitized with terms like “extreme, epic and best, just a few words exaggerated and overused in a tsunami of syllables, not to even mention images. This is especially true of our young people. Where do we hop off the roller coaster?
“There is a place for us”. A place of peace and joyful contemplation. A place of enterprise that cultivates virtues in mind, body, and spirit. There is a Summer Program where a young man can pursue the Good, the True and the Beautiful…All while getting paid! Do something uniquely outstanding that will be a high point in your life no matter what path you choose. It is a call to Greatness, to become that Man God intends for you to be.

For a few years now, the Diocese of Gallup has hosted a Missionary Internship at a future St. Kateri Rosary Walk Shrine (the first Native American Canonized Saint) on the Navajo Reservation outside Gallup, New Mexico. All the Prophets go to God’s Holy Mountain..and Jesus and John the baptism went into the desert. Tucked in the high desert Zuni Mountain area is a call to restoration.
If I had a son or grandson this age, I would want to sign him up. If I were of that age, I would want to be a part of this program. When I say there is nothing like this program that we know of, I really meant this is truly outstanding, unique, innovated and an inspiring program. There is nothing like it.
The Crowning jewel portion of this Rosary Walk is the Our Lady of Guadalupe Plaza. This Summer (2023) we will attempt to build the largest adobe constructed wall in the world. 23 separate nicho chapels for the individual “Mysteries of the Rosary” have almost all been erected.

When Our Lady came to Tepeyac Hill in December 1531, there were few Catholics, and the tensions between the Spaniards and the Natives was at fevered pitch. Her intercession resulted in 9 million conversions in 8 years. As Empress of Al the Americas, she left a miraculous image, a relic that still astounds and mystifies scientists, skeptics and believers. She is the Woman clothed with the Sun:
“I am your merciful Mother. The merciful Mother of all of you who live united in this land, and of all mankind, of all those who love me. Here I will hear their weeping, their sorrow and will remedy and alleviate all their multiple sufferings, necessities and misfortunes.”
The Young Men pray together, work together, and undergo a series of extracurricular activities involving team building, leadership, and character and personal improvement. When our days come to a close, and we stand before the God Man, no matter what our struggles have been in this life, we may have one calling card, that one Summer in days of my Youth, I toiled and sweat, worked and prayed, labored and sacrificed, building a tribute and monument to Your Mother, as a lasting place where souls arrived and prayed over many generations.
During breaks, interns will tour the Grand Canyon, Chaco Canyon, El Morro Archeological site and many other incredible places. Great food is included along with free room and board. Interns earn up to $5000 while doing something that makes the heart feel good!
We encourage all young Catholic Men of “mettle” to prayerfully consider this opportunity.
No, this is not for the feint hearted, nor will it be easy.
However, if a Young Man would persevere, he would be rewarded a hundred-fold.
