Last of the boys & last of the summer of 2023
Here is an ‘after’ group picture of our fine young interns from the Saint Kateri Rosary Walk. We can see that these men have not only toned their muscles but their tans as well. What is not so easy to see is the fine condition of their character as good people. We are sincerely grateful for this group of young men who put their best efforts to help continue the work that is going on at on the Saint Kateri Rosary Walk here near Gallup New Mexico.

At our recent Thursday evening Adoration and Benediction, we were blessed with the presence of the 2023 Missionary Interns. This Thursday attendance was not an exception and after Benediction they wanted to say night prayer in the cathedral. Anne and I stayed to pray with them. As they sang and chanted night prayer, we were moved with the beauty of their singing as they praised God. Such strong voices for the Lord!

Fr. Brown gave a short but moving homily. He said that these ‘Shrine Boys’, these men, must now go out into the world and give away the encounter they had with God; they must share their “Profound Experience” of God’s grace with the world. It was a beautiful close to their combined efforts, and we are thankful for the chance to witness such palpable joy and heartfelt praise of our good God.

As the summer work is winding down, we give thanks for these young men, for their willingness to work and sacrifice with such camaraderie and synergism. We also wish to thank their families who have “loaned” us their sons. Many thanks to you all. Visit our Photo Gallery for more pictures.
In Christ,
Deacon Ed and Anne Schaub
